Hey there! I am Jenika Nero. Most people call me Jen. 😊I I was born and raised in Cebu City, Philippines, where I'm finishing my last year in college as a media communications student.
As a multimedia content creator, I contribute to projects that need a pocket full of ideas and motivation. To put it in a nutshell: I write, create graphics, and occasionally edit videos and audio, using Photoshop, Canva, and Sony Vegas as my favorite weapons of choice.
Writing is my strongest suit out of the three. I grew up making fantasy stories on my family's home desktop as a child, to joining campus journalism competitions in elementary and high school, then to finally producing social media copies, articles, and screenplays for various organizations and internships. In 2021, I was one of the Head Scriptwriters for the Kids for Christ International Family Conference where we made a 2-episode mini-series viewed by more than 5,000 families worldwide. In college recently, I helped put up three multimedia websites—a deep dive on the local music industry during the pandemic, an e-magazine on all things pets, and an investigative story on the martial law education in public schools—with a team of equally hardworking and visionary students.
Aside from being a creative, I am currently a youth leader in the Kids for Christ ministry where I guide a team of volunteers in organizing activities for children. I also give talks to kids based on the teachings of the Catholic Church and hold workshops to teach youth members how to serve in the kids ministry.
